Birkenstock 1774 channels the spirit of 1920s Berlin in new collection.
The new BIRKENSTOCK 1774 Becomes Berlin Collection, created by BIRKENSTOCK's Paris-based creative studio, reimagines the brand’s legendary silhouettes through the vibrant lens of historical 1920s Berlin.
Inspired by a period of political flux, architectural innovation, and cultural creativity, the collection blends art nouveau influences with contemporary design, bridging the past and present.
Reflecting the mood of the era, the collection draws on the time’s distinctive textures, materials, and colors, reinterpreting them through a modern lens. Delicate cutouts evoke the dynamic movement of the period, while decorative elements and refined buckles capture its bold and imaginative spirit. The palette is inspired by early 20th-century furniture, vases, and architectural forms.
This season, the collection introduces elegant bows in the Florida and Arizona and features Art Deco-inspired buckles in a variety of styles including Arizona Velvet Black, Arizona Velvet Lavender, London Suede Black, London Suede Deep Burgundy, 222 West Suede Black, and 222 West Suede Cream. The revival of archival silhouettes in Maria Suede Black and Maria Suede Deep Burgundy further connects modern craftsmanship with historic inspiration.
Crafted with precision by skilled hands, every detail reflects BIRKENSTOCK’s longstanding commitment to quality and innovation.
The collection captures the renewed energy of dressing—a cultural response that mirrors the escapism and creative vitality of the times, as individuals sought moments of celebration and self-expression.
The BIRKENSTOCK 1774 Becomes Berlin Collection is a journey through time, where the essence of history converges with the relevance of today. It reinterprets the artistry and boldness of the past by inviting you to rediscover it in the present.
